Who is this guy?

I was more or less born in a kitchen. My first stop on the way home from the hospital was actually the family bakery. There are photos of a 5-year-old me holding chef knives almost as big as I was. I turned out alright.

After a long journey through many kitchens and a fair bit of heartache, I figured it was time to do something else with my future but use the skills I had to support myself through school. After many years at my local community college, I moved to San Francisco and attended SFSU, graduating with a bachelor’s in Information Systems. Between all that, I worked in French patisseries, fine dining restaurants, and a sourdough bread bakery that milled all their flour.

I started as an intern at my first tech job in the spring of 2020 – doing a bit of technical project management around deploying an SSO solution for a smaller organization. I guess I was doing okay because I parlayed that into a full-time IT Operations Engineer gig about two months before the world shut down.

Now I work for a larger SaaS company as a Corporate Platform Engineer, focusing on information technology improvements for the business and our end-users. I’m passionate about automating processes and providing a frictionless and lovely experience for our colleagues - all through a security lens. I’m familiar with a wide range of IAM, automation/low-code, security, and productivity apps, to name a few. I can write (not well) a bit of Python and Go when I need to. Lets chat.
